Bio-Individuality

So What Exactly Does It Mean?

Dynamic circumstance governing the body’s needs and is informed by both genetic and epigenetic (environmental) factors.

This rings true, what works well for some won’t work in favor of others. We all benefit from different nutritional requirements, since we are all unique. How we respond to stressors internally and externally, how we think, how we approach and solve a problem, our activity levels, sickness and dis-ease, where we live and so much more. Which is why you should be leery of anyone telling you otherwise.

However there are some foundational truths that apply to all, because we were all created and formed in the same image, which is that of our Heavenly Father’s.

We all need adequate levels of sunshine, time spent outdoors in the fresh air, water, movement, quality sleep, minerals, protein, fats and carbohydrates (check out my What is Nutritional Therapy Anyway Blog Post.) The perfect ratios of each are not a one size fits all, the appropriate amount of each is fully dependent upon the individual. Even individuals that live in the same household. Everyone’s needs and requirements will be unique to them and them alone.

The best way to figure this all out is to start applying these foundations in your life and adjusting the ratios as needed. The more we move closer to intentional, foundational living, the more we become in tune with ourselves and can decipher what our body’s are trying to tell us.

Allopathic and Holistic Medicine both fail when they blindly apply the same treatment and care to everyone. Individuals may have the same symptoms, however what lead their body’s to signaling those symptoms are completely different.

We are all different members of the same body and the same image yet we are all individualistic in thought, actions and habits.
