Prophetic Writing ~ Drawing

An Invitation to create with our Creator

Step into what He’s revealing—your journey to restoration starts here.

Have you ever tried prophetic writing or drawing?

I was first introduced to this concept last month by my Biblically based business coach and I found the exercise to be therapeutic and inspiring which also left me wanting to incorporate this more frequently in my faith journey to connect to our Heavenly Father.

It’s a simple yet profound exercise that allows the Spirit to pour into you as you sit in His presence. You can do this as a timed session or just until you want to stop.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Find a quiet space. Gather some crayons, markers, or just a pen and paper.

  2. Put on some praise music. Let melodies that glorify Him fill your space. Play a playlist of sorts that way you aren't interrupted in the flow.

  3. Sit with the Spirit. Ask, “Lord, what are You speaking to me today?” or you can use this time to pray and ask what he wants to reveal to you or stir in your heart.

  4. Let your hand flow. Whether it’s a picture, a series of images, or words, don’t overthink it—just let it flow.

It’s not about artistic skill; it’s about allowing Him to pour His love, peace, and wisdom into your heart. What comes out might surprise you—a glimpse of His plans for you, a reminder of His promises, or a visual of His beauty.

Psalm 45:1 says, “My heart is stirred by a noble theme as I recite my verses for the king; my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer.” You, too, are a skillful creator when you let Him lead your hand.

Below is what I wrote down during my prophetic writing/drawing time.

If you decide to do this exercise, I’d love to hear what the Spirit reveals to you during this time. Feel free to connect with me and share through instagram messenger—whether it’s a picture, a word, or just a thought, it could bless and inspire others as well!
